Lena Jackson is a documentary filmmaker based in Miami. She is currently a producer at Fusion and Univision. Her work has appeared on the PBS Newshour, PBS’s EarthFix, NPR, Medium, OZY, The Root, High Country News, Truthout and Global Voices. Her areas of interest include education, the environment, race and inequality, immigration, and Haiti. She holds a B.S. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and M.A. in Social Documentation from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She has earned grants to support her work from the International Women’s Media Foundation, the Institute for Justice and Journalism, the Puffin Foundation, the University of California, and the Princess Grace Foundation.
